Question by smky_mtn_cutie: Is there anyone who could help me get a WordPress site with a theme up and running?
I have a photography theme called Gallerific. I’m a photographer, not a web designer. I’m totally and utterly lost. I have the theme installed but 1) I’m not sure how to get my information, text, photos, etc. on it, 2) I need to get a store front set up on it, 3) How do I blog with WordPress? I’ve used Blogger for years but WP seems to be light years different.

blogger and wordpress aren’t that much different all though i do perfer to use word press…have you logged into your wordpress yet? I have to ask cause once you do and you hit new post theres all kinds of options on uploading stuff information pictures all of it’s right there on the creating and editing new post page…setting up a store front is a little different but not impossible…and as for blogging just create a new post…If you need more help you can check out on of the sites I just started working for listed below or email me Crazylilpixie@mysterchr.com and I can help ya out ;D

Question by Rick Wilson: Does anyone know how to use the Thesis Theme for WordPress to make like a landing page or squeeze page?
I’m trying to make the Thesis Theme work really well for like making squeeze pages and stuff for affiliate offers, but it is way too complicated. Any suggestions?

Well first of all I would make sure to download Thesis Openhook. Openhook is a great free plugin that will help you modify Thesis a lot more easily then with the custom programming.
There are a lot of really good tutorials for extending DIYThemes’ Thesis Theme to do just about anything you could want. Personally, I think wordpresslandingpage.com does a nice job of providing some skins for Thesis.
If you have problems, you can always use the Thesis Theme support community (it’s free after you buy Thesis).

The blog is going to be a news based blog. It will be for Hispanic (Spanish-speaking) audiences.

There are literally hundreds of WordPress templates that you can download and install for free. If you find one that is close to what you want, often all you have to do is add your logo to the header and you can tweak the colors by editing the CSS file, all from within WordPress.

Question by Darin W: Anyone know how to add an option to a WordPress theme?
My current WordPress theme is Theme 16 2.0 by Template_Help.com
And while my admin controls are set to display the author of each post, the author name is not displayed. I would greatly appreciate any help with enabling this option. If it required adding code, please be specific about where and what to add as my programming skills are limited to very basic html.
